TRANSACTIONS Overview: The Malaysian property market improved in tandem with the growth of its economy. There were 376,583 transactions registered in 2010 with a total worth exceeding RM100 billion mark at RM107.44 billion. Both the volume and value of transaction recorded double digit growths of 11.4% and 32.6% respectively (2009: 338,089 transactions worth RM81.02 billion).

AVERAGE PRICE TRENDS Overview: The price of the 'average terraced house' in 2010 stood at RM182,129. This price inched higher by 8.3% from 2009 at RM168,109. Meanwhile, the 'average high rise unit' in 2010 was RM170,339, a marginal increase of 2.4% from RM166,337 in 2009.
